Terms of Service

Last updated: [DATE]

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Onhook, operated by [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] ("Onhook," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Onhook, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. What Onhook does

Onhook is a booking and lead-management tool for contractors: a public scheduling page, automated lead follow-up via SMS/email, Google Calendar sync, and appointment reminders. Contractors are responsible for the services they provide to their own customers — Onhook is a scheduling tool, not a party to any agreement between a contractor and their customer.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be legally able to enter into a contract to use Onhook.

4. Free trial and billing

  • New accounts get a 14-day free trial; no card is required to start.
  • After the trial, continued access requires an active paid subscription, billed monthly in advance.
  • You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • We may change our pricing with advance notice; continued use after a price change means you accept the new price.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Onhook to:

  • Send SMS or email to anyone who hasn't consented to receive them
  • Send spam, unlawful, deceptive, or harassing communications
  • Violate any applicable law, including telemarketing/SMS consent laws (e.g. TCPA) in your jurisdiction
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service

As a contractor using Onhook to message your leads, you are responsible for having a lawful basis (such as prior consent) to contact them by SMS or email.

6. Third-party services

Onhook integrates with third-party services (Stripe, Twilio, Resend, Google Calendar, Supabase) to provide its features. Your use of those integrations is also subject to those providers' own terms.

7. Termination

You may stop using Onhook and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or fail to pay applicable fees.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Onhook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in any particular business outcome.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Onhook and its owners are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; continued use of Onhook after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
